I had a wonderful stay at Laxhus Villa. The location was perfect, with stunning views and a quiet atmosphere. The beds were very comfortable, and the check-in process was a breeze. The room was clean and had everything I needed, including a small kitchenette. I especially loved the sitting area with the comfortable chairs positioned to look out towards the mountains. The porch was a great bonus, and I enjoyed sitting outside when the weather permitted. I highly recommend this hotel for a cozy and peaceful stay.
One minor drawback was that the shower leaked a bit, but it was easily remedied with a plastic mat. However, it was slightly in the way when trying to use the toilet.

Absolutely loved this place! Our favorite stay in Iceland! Clear views of the mountains and animals roaming free in front of the property. Easy to find and close to the charming town. Cozy and homely interior with comfortable beds. Basic kitchen equipment, coffee machine, and dishwasher made our stay even better.
It was a bit difficult to find the path to the location after sunset due to the lack of lighting on the road. A sign would have been helpful to guide us.

The breakfast selection could be improved with a wider variety of options.

I stayed at this wonderful hotel for a few days and it exceeded all my expectations. The peaceful surroundings and beautiful landscape made for a truly tranquil experience. Every morning, I enjoyed my coffee while watching cows graze right outside my cottage - a charming sight. Inside, the cozy interior and incredibly comfortable bed provided the perfect retreat. With great temperature control, a well-equipped bathroom, and a kitchenette complete with a microwave and a sandwich maker, everything was just perfect. The view was absolutely breathtaking, and we even caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights right from our room. The owner, who lives on the property, was also very pleasant. this hotel is a fantastic alternative to the less impressive options in the nearby area.
Totally recommend this hotel.

This place was absolutely mind-blowing! The hostess was super sweet and accommodating, making us feel right at home. The cozy sitting area and kitchen with a small table were perfect for relaxing. The floor-to-ceiling windows with blackout curtains provided an incredible view of the valley and mountains. The abundance of small appliances made our stay convenient. The location was peaceful and quiet, away from city lights but still close to Husavik. The opportunity to see sheep grazing just outside our room was jaw-dropping, especially for our 1-year-old son. The owner's laid-back nature and easy check-in process added to the AMAZING experience. We loved the option to cook our own breakfast and the fact that dirty dishes could be left for the owner to clean. The facilities were top-notch, with hotel-like amenities, including a dishwasher! The distance from light pollution made it the perfect spot for viewing the aurora borealis, and the host even welcomed us with a candle-lit room. We would definitely return to this fantastic place any day.

Flies were practically my roommates, but I guess it's just their way of saying "hi.
